When you place an order
We collect your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. We need this to take payment, ship your parcel and handle returns.
We do not see or store your full card number. Card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe, through WooPayments. They handle the card data and send us only a confirmation and the last four digits.
We keep order records for as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes.
When you create an account
An account stores your email, a password we never see in plain text, your saved addresses and your order history. You can view and edit all of it under My Account, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
If you hold store credit with us, we also keep a record of each credit and debit on your account and the reason for it.
When you sell to us or contact us
Our forms collect your name, email, location and whatever you write in the message. If you upload photographs or video of items you want to sell, those files are stored on this website so we can assess and quote on them.
Please do not upload anything containing other people’s personal information. If you want uploaded files removed once your sale is done, email us and we will delete them.
Form submissions are stored in our website database as well as emailed to us.
Cookies
Your shopping cart, your login session and your cookie choices all rely on cookies. Without them the site cannot remember what is in your basket or keep you logged in.
We do not run advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that make the shop work, and only what they need:
- Stripe and WooPayments, to process payments
- The carrier delivering your parcel, for name, address and contact details
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database
- PayPal, if you choose to be paid by PayPal for items you sell us
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@thegamingvaultcompany.com and we will respond within one business day.
Some records we have to keep even if you ask us to delete your account, such as completed order records needed for tax purposes. We will tell you if that applies.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Passwords are stored hashed, not in plain text. Card details never touch our server.
No website is perfectly secure. If we ever became aware of a breach affecting your data, we would tell you.
Children
This shop is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page. The version published when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
